House bill 2196 passed out of the House Education Committee and is scheduled for second reading on Monday, March 27. The bill will most likely have a third reading and vote on Tuesday, March 28. This bill would allow homeschooled children to participate in public school extra-curricular activities. It does not provide for private school children. Please contact your House representatives in support of this bill. Please tell them to amend this bill to include all children, including private school. If this bill passes the House, Senator Mann will have to place it on the Senate Education Committee agenda. Today is the last day for bills to be out of house of origin.
